• Born as Julian Alfred Pankratz to the Viscount and Viscountess of Lettenhove in 1222. As a child, Jaskier had the best tutors and learned all of the things a Viscount to be should be educated in, but ultimately rebelled against this fate.


• Jaskier fled the responsibility of becoming Viscount by dropping his birth name and taking on the alias of Jaskier. He attends Oxenfurt University and studies to become a Master of the Seven Liberal Arts.


• Despite fleeing from his responsibilities, Jaskier still holds some of his noble tendencies, especially concerning material things like clothing and personal luxuries. Despite his expensive taste in these items, Jaskier has chosen a life that offers little luxury, instead choosing to travel around the continent and honing his skills as a bard.


• At eighteen, Jaskier meets Geralt of Rivia in a tavern after he performs. Geralt is quick to inform him that the songs he's written are inaccurate, which may be why they were received so poorly. Jaskier takes that as an opportunity to learn more about monsters from a primary source: a Witcher.


• Geralt quickly becomes one of Jaskier's main sources of inspiration. Over the years, they develop a close friendship, with Jaskier being present for the majority of the most important events in Geralt's life.

Jaskier has been Geralt's travel companion and best friend for decades. Geralt serves as his muse musically as well. He plays the part of uncle to Ciri and worthy rival to Yennefer of Vengerberg. He has taken many lovers, but the most important politically is Radovid, the King of Redania.

• Intuitive and adventurous in nature, Jaskier always finds a way to bring excitement to every day life. He has a deep love for people and the world itself, and sees every single day as one full of possibility.
